Essential Responsibilities:
- Execute assigned tasks within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) under the guidance and supervision of senior team members.
- Follow established internal conventions, standards, and standard operating procedures while performing development activities.
- Apply internal standards and processes to support informed technical decision-making.
- Collaborate with peers, managers, and project leads to understand assigned tasks and review proposed technical solutions.
- Contribute to code reviews and design reviews to maintain development quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development: Develop and maintain scalable APIs and services using Java, and build responsive and user-friendly interfaces using React.
- Product Impact: Collaborate with senior engineers and product teams to deliver secure, reliable, and user-friendly API platform solutions.
- SDLC & Quality: Participate in the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including performing code reviews, writing unit tests, and supporting improvements to CI/CD pipelines.
- Self-Management: Work independently for a significant portion of the day due to distributed team locations, while maintaining effective communication with the US-based team during overlapping hours (US mornings / India evenings).
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possess at least 1+ year of relevant work experience along with a Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency in front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React.
- Exhibit strong experience in developing and working with RESTful APIs for backend services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrate strong expertise in using the Spectral validator, including the ability to write and implement customized validation rules.
- Show familiarity with AI development tools such as Claude and Cursor, with the ability to use them to enhance productivity while maintaining independent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
