Key Responsibilities:
- Understand business and functional requirements and actively contribute to test planning activities.
- Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing, to ensure application quality.
- Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases, and accurately document test results.
- Support the development and execution of automated test scripts using Karate for API testing and Playwright for UI testing.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify issues and ensure system stability.
- Log, track, and retest defects using appropriate defect tracking tools to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and senior QA team members to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Continuously enhance testing skills and stay updated with emerging QA tools, technologies, and best practices.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Engineering Graduate, MCA, or equivalent qualification.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in software testing.
Required Skills:
- Possess a basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and core software testing concepts.
- Have hands-on experience or academic/project exposure to manual testing.
- Demonstrate foundational knowledge of API automation testing using Karate.
- Have introductory experience with Playwright or similar UI automation tools.
- Understand test case design techniques and the defect management lifecycle.
- Be familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies and team-based delivery environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Possess basic programming or scripting knowledge in Java or JavaScript.
- Have exposure to Git or other version control systems.
- Demonstrate awareness of CI/CD concepts and automation pipelines.
Certifications (Preferred):
- ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL) or an equivalent QA certification.
- Any beginner-level test automation certification or relevant online accreditation.
