Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning, Tracking, and Reporting:
- Contribute to the preparation of initial coding effort estimates.
- Support the team in project planning activities, including risk identification and evaluation.
- Communicate regularly with team members regarding development updates, schedules, and project status.
Design:
- Understand assigned Low-Level Design (LLD) documents and perform code development accordingly.
Development and Support:
- Collaborate with the team to clarify and enhance design details as required.
- Develop high-priority and complex system components in accordance with technical specifications, detailed designs, coding standards, and maintainability guidelines.
- Utilize version control and code management tools to prevent versioning and integration issues.
- Ensure developed code does not negatively impact internal or external system functionality.
Testing and Debugging:
- Write and execute unit test cases to validate basic functionality prior to comprehensive testing.
- Identify, debug, and resolve project, code-level, and interface-related issues.
- Fix functional testing defects in a timely manner.
- Test high-priority and high-complexity functionalities or issues, seeking support when required.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain technical documentation in accordance with defined standards and processes.
- Address peer review feedback to improve technical documentation quality.
Process Management:
- Adhere to established project and support processes.
- Follow best practices and comply with approved policies, procedures, and methodologies, including the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for projects of varying sizes.
- Participate in root cause analysis to identify and prevent recurring issues.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, MCA, or MSc in Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in analyzing application requirements or use cases and developing functional application modules.
Skills Required:
- Demonstrate proficiency in at least one of the following technologies: C#, ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular.
- Possess a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Have experience working with common JavaScript libraries and implementing responsive web design principles.
- Design, develop, and consume web services using Web APIs or WCF.
- Apply secure website design and development best practices.
- Demonstrate knowledge of application architecture principles and design patterns.
- Work effectively with Microsoft SQL Server, including database schema design and development of stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Use Entity Framework for data access and persistence.
- Create interfaces to enable communication between different applications and systems.
- Utilize code versioning tools such as Git for source control and collaboration.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience using Visual Studio 2019 or 2022 for application development.
- Familiarity with SQL Server versions 2016, 2019, or 2022.
- Exposure to automated unit testing and integration testing practices.
- Experience with graceful degradation and progressive enhancement techniques for web applications.
- Strong understanding of data formats such as XML and JSON.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines and practices.
- Exposure to AWS cloud services, including SQS, S3, SNS, ECS, or similar services.
Knowledge:
- Possess 2+ years of experience analyzing application storyboards and/or use cases to develop functional application modules.
- Develop effective technical approaches to solve given problem statements.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable code using C# and .NET Core.
- Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft .NET–based web applications.
- Identify and resolve defects or potential risks that may impact application functionality.
- Ensure optimal application performance and quality by adhering to project standards and best practices.
- Maintain code quality through defined project quality standards and tooling.
- Design and develop web-based user interfaces, with familiarity in frameworks such as Bootstrap considered an advantage.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing application code.
- Develop unit test cases and perform unit testing to validate functionality.
- Design and maintain database objects such as tables, stored procedures, and functions.
- Collaborate effectively with Agile development teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely updates in JIRA reflecting development progress and status.
