Key Responsibilities:

24/7 Application & Infrastructure Monitoring:

  • Perform “Eyes on Glass” monitoring using tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Azure Monitor, SolarWinds, Datadog, and Nagios to proactively detect anomalies, establish performance baselines, and generate actionable alerts for business-critical applications and infrastructure.

Incident Response:

  • Act as an Incident Coordinator by initiating and participating in major incident bridge calls, performing timely escalations, documenting incident progress, and contributing to Post-Incident Reviews (PIRs) in close coordination with L1/L2 infrastructure and application support teams.

Incident Triage & Escalation:

  • Triage and route auto-generated tickets in accordance with defined SOPs, drive incident resolution, ensure rapid acknowledgement and response, and support incident communications and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

Knowledge Management:

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously update knowledge base articles and known-error databases to strengthen Level-1 support capabilities and reduce dependency on subject matter experts.

Automation & “Shift Left”:

  • Identify recurring issues, document standard operating procedures, and recommend automation opportunities for monitoring, detection, and remediation to enable first-line teams to resolve common issues efficiently.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Liaise with internal teams such as DevOps, Operations, and Product, as well as third-party vendors, to support escalations, develop SOPs, and ensure effective incident resolution.

Reporting & Metrics:

  • Track, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) including Mean Time to Detect (MTTD), Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR), ticket volumes, change validations, and major incidents avoided to drive continuous service improvement.

Service Coverage:

  • Ensure 24x7x365 operational coverage, including shift rotations, off-hours, weekends, and holiday support, in accordance with business and operational requirements.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Non-engineering graduate with qualifications such as B.Sc. (IT) or BCA.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or possess equivalent practical experience.

Required Skills and Experience:

Experience:

  • 0–6 months of experience in IT Operations, NOC/SOC, Incident Management, or Application Support roles within a 24/7 operational environment.

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in system and application monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Nagios, SolarWinds, and Datadog, along with working knowledge of ITSM tools including ServiceNow and JIRA.
  • Hands-on experience with alert configuration (creation, modification, and suppression), dashboard development, and real-time monitoring.

ITIL Certification:

  • ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.

Incident Management:

  • Experience supporting or coordinating major incident resolution activities, including bridge call facilitation and stakeholder communication.
  • Familiarity with ITSM platforms, particularly ServiceNow.

Automation:

  • Exposure to scripting and automation using tools or languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash to address recurring or known operational issues.

Process Orientation:

  • Experience in following and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contributing to incident knowledge bases or known-error repositories.

Collaboration:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical and business stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Reporting:

  • Experience in preparing operational metrics, insights, and regular status or performance reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess ITIL Foundation certification or other relevant ITSM/ITIL credentials.
  • Have experience supporting on-premises data center infrastructure as well as cloud or hybrid environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Demonstrate prior experience working in large-scale enterprise environments, particularly within managed services or service provider organizations.
  • Be familiar with configuration management databases (CMDB), service coverage models, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Have the ability to develop, maintain, or enhance automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.
  • Show experience working with third-party vendors and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
