Key Responsibilities:
- Build an opportunity landscape to support negotiations for new benefit partnerships.
- Contribute to partner strategy by securing higher partner-sourced value and strengthening product value propositions through bespoke analytics.
- Apply advanced analytics to study customer behavior and the competitive landscape, articulating a strong partner value story to support relationship building and renegotiations with existing benefit partners.
- Establish robust MIS systems and performance tracking mechanisms from both Amex and external partner perspectives.
- Proactively identify emerging merchants and industries to curate a business development pipeline aligned with loyalty and benefit strategy.
- Communicate analytics-driven insights to Product Management, Lending leadership, and cross-functional teams (including Business Development and Product) to influence product and partner strategies.
Critical Factors for Success:
- Strong analytical skills with an innovative approach to solving practical problems.
- In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, data mining, and research methodologies.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Strong programming skills with hands-on experience in statistical analysis and data manipulation tools such as SAS, SQL, and Big Data analytic techniques.
- Ability to interpret data, synthesize insights into real-world applications, and break down complex business problems into actionable solutions.
