Key Responsibilities:
- Propose, design, and analyze large-scale online experiments to evaluate product impact.
- Define and implement metrics to effectively measure product performance.
- Develop innovative early life cycle products for new users to drive higher conversion rates.
- Present research findings and insights to business stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to implement solutions and plan future product roadmaps.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Master’s degree in Economics, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field.
- Minimum of 1 year of industry experience as an Applied Scientist, Data Scientist, or in an equivalent role.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., R, Python, Java, Ruby, Scala/Spark, or Perl).
- Strong ability to design experiments, interpret results, and draw actionable conclusions across various key performance indicators.
- Proficiency in coding and SQL, with experience developing statistical analyses and algorithm prototypes in Python or R.
- Ability to efficiently work with large datasets using Python, SQL, R, or similar technologies.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Product, Science, and Operations.
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead initiatives across multiple product areas and effectively present findings to leadership and product teams.
- Experience leading technical projects and influencing the scope and outcomes of other contributors.
- Strong knowledge of experimental design and analysis, exploratory data analysis, and model development.
- Ability to communicate qualitative research methods and findings to non-technical audiences.
- Proven track record of engaging senior leadership to build understanding and consensus on team perspectives.
- Solid theoretical and applied machine learning expertise, supported by a strong background in mathematics and statistics.
- Strong programming skills to prototype models in at least one language such as Python (preferred), R, Java, Go, or Scala.
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas: A/B experimentation design, causal inference.
- Experience working with large datasets using Spark, Hive, or HDFS.
- Ability to analyze large datasets to identify behavioral trends among genuine users and bad actors using statistics, data mining, and machine learning techniques.
- Demonstrated thought leadership in driving cross-functional projects from concept to production.
