Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a developing professional, demonstrating a solid understanding of relevant processes, procedures, and systems, along with basic knowledge of the underlying concepts and principles.
- Focus primarily on model governance responsibilities across multiple portfolios.
- Create, update, and maintain comprehensive documentation of model monitoring and review outcomes, conducted at regular intervals.
- Collaborate with model governance and fair lending teams to ensure compliance with Citi’s standards and provide guidance to business teams on governance best practices.
- Oversee the model inventory to ensure all activities are properly documented, validated, approved, and compliant with relevant policies, procedures, and deadlines related to model validation, ongoing monitoring, and change management processes.
- Work with large and complex data sets using tools such as Python, PySpark, SQL, SAS, and R to evaluate and monitor the performance of existing models.
- Collaborate with team members, as well as with peers from Model Risk Management (MRM) and Fair Lending Compliance teams.
- Apply strong attention to detail when making judgments and providing recommendations based on factual data analysis.
- Utilize analytical and process management skills to ensure quality control over deliverables.
- Assess risk appropriately when making business decisions, uphold the firm’s reputation by ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, and apply sound ethical judgment in conduct and practices.
- Escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency in line with Citi’s risk management practices.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related discipline from a premier institute.
- Bachelor’s degree with 1–3 years of experience in data analytics, or a Master’s degree with 0–2 years of experience in data analytics, or a PhD in a relevant field.
- Hands-on experience in programming with PySpark, Python, R, or SAS, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- 1–3 years of experience in model risk management, model validation, monitoring, reporting, and documentation within the financial services domain.
- Good understanding of model risk regulations and fair lending laws.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets, data warehouses, and the ability to extract data using appropriate tools and programming languages.
- Strong foundation in statistical analysis with exposure to machine learning and deep learning modeling techniques.
- Capability to validate and maintain models deployed in production environments.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal forms.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive in approach.
- Prior experience in credit cards and retail banking is preferred.
