Key Responsibilities:
- Identify operational improvements and develop solutions by applying Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and techniques.
- Complete tasks and transactions within agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Apply fundamental work theories, concepts, and processes relevant to own areas of responsibility.
- Engage with market partners to understand business problems, translate them into analytical problems, take ownership of the analysis, and communicate insights back to business decision-makers.
- Manipulate, analyze, and synthesize large, complex data sets from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Deliver high-quality work deliverables within specified timelines.
- Support the automation of repeatable tasks, report generation, and dashboard updates.
- Go beyond the immediate requirements by developing analyses and reports that add value beyond basic requests.
- Write well-structured, detailed, and computationally efficient code.
- Contribute to the development of knowledge assets and reusable modules on platforms such as GitHub or internal Wikis.
- Generate practical insights that drive informed decision-making in business operations.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of business needs and an in-depth knowledge of Tesco’s processes.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Basic understanding of business decision-making processes.
- 1–2 years of experience preferred in analytics delivery within domains such as retail, consumer packaged goods (CPG), telecom, or hospitality, and in functional areas such as marketing, supply chain, customer, merchandising, operations, finance, or digital.
- Basic skills to develop visualizations, self-service dashboards, and reports using Tableau.
- Fundamental knowledge of basic statistical concepts such as correlation analysis and hypothesis testing.
- Basic skills to analyze data using advanced Excel, SQL, and Hive.
- Understanding of basic data warehousing concepts on Hadoop and Teradata.
- Experience with automation using Alteryx or Python is an added advantage.
