Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of the various operations across Payment Risk.
- Design and develop highly available dashboards and performance metrics using SQL, Excel, or Tableau.
- Perform business analysis and execute data queries using scripting languages such as R or Python.
- Gather stakeholder requirements and map them effectively to relevant data sources or data warehouses.
- Take ownership of delivering and backing up periodic metrics and dashboards for the leadership team.
- Analyze processed data to draw inferences and conclusions, create dashboards and visualizations, and identify trends and anomalies.
- Execute high-priority, cross-functional, and high-impact projects to develop robust and scalable analytics solutions and frameworks in collaboration with Analytics or BIE managers.
- Conduct business analysis and perform data queries using appropriate analytical tools.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including business teams, engineering teams, and partner teams, to ensure alignment within the focus area.
- Execute analytical projects and apply various analytical methods such as ANOVA, distribution theory, regression, forecasting, and machine learning techniques.
- Draw inferences and generate insights from data through exploratory data analysis (EDA) and advanced SQL data manipulations for business reviews.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
- Possess at least 1 year of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
- Have experience creating complex SQL queries that join multiple datasets and working with ETL and data warehouse concepts.
- Demonstrate experience in defining requirements and using data and metrics to generate business insights.
- Show proven problem-solving skills and the ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Have hands-on experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, or other BI packages.
- Possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, index/match, VLOOKUP, VBA, and data linking.
- Have experience working with databases that handle large-scale datasets.
- Have at least 1 year of experience working in an Analytics or Business Intelligence environment, with a background in designing and executing analytical projects.
Preferred Skills:
- Have experience working with Amazon Redshift and other AWS technologies.
- Demonstrate experience in scripting for automation using languages such as Python, Perl, or Ruby.
- Have experience using Python or R for data analysis, or statistical tools such as SAS.
- Bring experience working in e-commerce or online companies, particularly in fraud or risk control functions.
- Possess an analytical mindset with the ability to see the big picture and influence stakeholders.
- Be detail-oriented and skilled at solving unstructured problems by extracting data from various sources and designing, constructing, and executing complex analyses to generate meaningful reports and solutions.
- Demonstrate strong oral, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to participate in group discussions and explain complex solutions clearly.
- Have the ability to apply analytical, computational, statistical, and quantitative problem-solving skills effectively.
- Be able to work efficiently in a high-volume, multi-tasking environment.
- Show adaptability and flexibility in meeting deadlines and managing fluctuations in workflow.
