Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a world-class, inclusive, and collaborative engineering team.
- Tackle large-scale and critical technical challenges that expand your engineering expertise.
- Support the identification of dependencies and assist in developing design documents for product features under guidance.
- Assist in breaking down work items into tasks and contribute to effort estimation while learning best practices.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to gather and understand user requirements for specific features.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) by monitoring systems, product features, or services for simple issues such as degradation, downtime, or interruptions, and recommend actions to restore service by following the playbook.
- With guidance, learn to create and implement code for products, services, or features, reusing existing code where appropriate.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline with proven experience coding in one or more of the following languages: C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python; or equivalent practical experience.
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements relevant to this role.
- Must pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer, and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and at least 1 year of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python; or
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with proven experience coding in the above-mentioned languages; or
- Equivalent industry experience.
