Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Develop and maintain software components, modules, or applications using appropriate programming languages and technologies.
- Integrate software systems with existing infrastructure, databases, APIs, and third-party services to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
- Code and program enhancements, updates, and modifications for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases, and internet-related tools.
- Execute established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code, identifying, logging, and debugging issues as needed.
- Participate in concept design discussions, gather system-level requirements, clarify interfaces, and provide feedback on future design requirements to support the development of robust and high-performance solutions.
- Improve the entire lifecycle of services from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement.
- Provide support services through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
- Develop an understanding of and build relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development.
- Participate as a member of a project team with other software systems engineers to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for low- to moderately-complex products.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; equivalent work experience or demonstrated competence may also be considered.
- Typically has 0–2 years of professional experience, preferably in systems engineering, computer programming, or a related field.
Preferred Certifications:
- Certified Software Systems Engineer (CSSE)
- Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of Agile methodology.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Understanding of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
- Familiarity with automation tools and practices.
- Proficiency in C++ programming language.
- Strong foundation in Computer Science principles.
- Debugging skills.
- Experience with Docker.
- Knowledge of full stack development.
- Proficiency in Java programming language.
