Key Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Analyze and interpret both structured and unstructured data using statistical and quantitative techniques to deliver actionable insights and generate recurring reports.
- Design and build data pipelines and workflows for data cleaning, transformation, modeling, and visualization using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Python.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize business needs, and translate complex business problems into data-driven analytical solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance scalable analytics dashboards and solutions that support pricing strategies and inform commercial decision-making.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for improving processes and operational efficiency through data-driven analysis.
- Present complex analytical findings in a clear, impactful, and actionable manner tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Analytical / Decision-Making Responsibilities:
- Apply a hypothesis-driven approach to analyze complex or ambiguous data, and synthesize insights to inform strategic business decisions.
- Advocate and implement best practices in data analysis, modeling, and visualization, while customizing methodologies to align with specific project requirements.
- Address analytical challenges with a blend of creativity and methodological rigor, applying innovative thinking across diverse business scenarios.
- Prioritize tasks based on their potential business impact and consistently deliver high-quality, timely results in dynamic and fast-changing environments.
- Exercise sound judgment in selecting appropriate methods, tools, and data sources to effectively support business goals and objectives.
Supervision Responsibilities:
- Operates independently with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment in daily activities.
- Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, pricing, and commercial strategy units.
- Provides mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members, fostering development in both technical skills and domain knowledge.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline relevant to data analytics, data engineering, or data science is required.
- Preferred fields include Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Operations Research, or Econometrics.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in roles such as data analyst, business analyst, data engineer, or similar data-focused positions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and accurately present large and complex datasets.
- Solid foundational knowledge of statistics, including key concepts such as distributions, variance, and correlation.
- Proficient in documenting analytical processes and effectively communicating findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence and analytics solutions.
- Proficient in Python and SQL, with strong programming and scripting capabilities.
- Skilled in using tools such as Pandas, T-SQL, and Power Query M for querying, transforming, and cleansing data.
- Practical experience in data modeling for both transactional (OLTP) and analytical (OLAP) database systems.
- Strong data visualization skills using Power BI and Python libraries like Matplotlib and Seaborn.
- Experience in defining and designing key performance indicators (KPIs) and aligning analytical insights with business objectives.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Fabric data analytics environment.
- Proficiency in using Apache Spark, particularly with PySpark and Spark SQL, for distributed data processing.
- Exposure to implementing machine learning or artificial intelligence solutions in real-world business scenarios.
- Working knowledge of Python machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, or Hugging Face transformers.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Copilot Studio, and AI Builder.
- Understanding of pricing strategies, commercial analysis, or competitive intelligence methodologies.
- Experience with cloud-based data services, particularly within the Azure ecosystem, such as Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Machine Learning.
Other Requirements:
- Works primarily with a distributed team based in the Eastern Time Zone (UTC −4:00 / −5:00).
- Occasional travel may be required as part of this role.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 to 6 years of professional experience in data analysis, data engineering, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in a professional services environment is highly desirable.
