Accountabilities:

  • Investigate and analyze data issues related to quality, data lineage, controls, and identification of authoritative sources.
  • Execute data cleansing and transformation processes to prepare datasets for accurate analysis.
  • Design and develop data pipelines to automate data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), and processing activities.
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques, including machine learning and artificial intelligence, to address complex business challenges.
  • Document data quality issues along with actionable recommendations for improvement.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Strong understanding of Basel IV regulatory requirements and related regulatory changes.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting and risk data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and outliers, and assess the impact of risk exposures.
  • Solid accounting knowledge with hands-on experience in reconciliation and a clear understanding of how transactions are represented in a bank’s Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
  • In-depth knowledge of investment banking and corporate banking, including an understanding of financial products and how accounting/netting logic is applied in the BFSI domain.
  • Expertise in analyzing poor-quality data and tracing data lineage to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in posting and reviewing accounting entries for complex derivative trade structures.
  • Proficiency in technical tools such as SQL and Macros, and experience in preparing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) for projects.
  • Advanced finance and accounting knowledge, particularly in balance sheet and profit & loss reconciliation.
