Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of Personal Independence concepts, including financial interests, family relationships, and business affiliations.
  • Execute procedures in alignment with EYG Independence policies and guidelines.
  • Conduct research and update various EY systems and databases that track personal and financial relationships such as securities, loans, and insurance policies.
  • Support EY professionals in identifying and mitigating independence-related risks.
  • Communicate effectively with EY professionals and senior team members to gather required information and resolve queries.
  • Learn from experienced team members to gain proficiency in Independence processes and best practices.
  • Contribute to the overall compliance efforts by ensuring accurate and timely updates in internal monitoring tools.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • A Master’s or post-graduate degree (preferably in Finance) from a reputed institution.
  • 0–1 year of experience in research and analysis, preferably in a professional services or consulting firm.
  • Well-developed analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written) in English.
  • A basic understanding of financial instruments such as equities, mutual funds, pension plans, and insurance policies.

Technical Expertise:

  • Develop a sound understanding of financial products and markets, such as equities, structured products, and investment funds, while managing work requests and projects from initiation to completion in line with defined procedures.
  • Conduct research and analysis on EY professionals’ financial interests and family relationships—including brokerage accounts, loans, and insurance policies—to assess the permissibility of investments.
  • Participate in a variety of projects and collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of assigned tasks.
  • Engage actively in team discussions, service functions, and organization-wide initiatives.
  • Work towards achieving and exceeding individual KPIs defined for the role.
  • Build proficiency in using internal Independence tools to record EY professionals’ financial and family relationship data, such as securities owned, broker and deposit accounts, loans, insurance policies, and business affiliations.
  • Demonstrate diligence, a strong work ethic, high motivation, and a result-oriented mindset, with a willingness to learn and grow quickly.
