Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a solid understanding of firm-level Independence concepts and policies as defined by the EYG Independence guidelines.
  • Execute work procedures in accordance with established Independence policies to support audit, client-serving, and pursuit teams in mitigating independence-related risks.
  • Conduct research and analysis as part of the Independence review process and update relevant workpapers based on feedback from project managers.
  • Review documentation and requests submitted by client-serving or pursuit teams to ensure accuracy and completeness, following the standard operating procedures.
  • Perform Independence-related review procedures in alignment with the prescribed operating model.
  • Coordinate and communicate with project managers and audit/pursuit teams to follow up on responses, clarifications, and ensure timely completion of required procedures.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Graduate, Master’s, or post-graduate degree, preferably in Finance, from a reputed institution.
  • 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience in research and analysis within a professional services environment.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.

Technical Expertise:

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of client company structures, including the applicability of different entity attributes and relationships as defined by the EYG Independence policy.
  • Interpret and apply audit client and affiliate definitions accurately in line with independence guidelines.
  • Conduct secondary research using internal and external databases to support business decisions.
  • Analyze research findings and provide initial recommendations based on defined research objectives.
  • Understand audit team requirements and complete assigned projects or tasks following standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and completeness of all assigned deliverables.
  • Effectively plan and organize personal workload while keeping project managers informed about task status and ongoing activities.
  • Escalate issues or potential challenges to project managers promptly to enable timely resolutions.
  • Strive to meet or exceed defined individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the role.
  • Develop deep technical and process expertise over time through continuous learning and experience.
  • Respond to emails and communication requests promptly and professionally.
