Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage SSIS jobs for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data, while troubleshooting and supporting existing ETL processes using SSIS/Azure Data Factory.
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and establish rules for organizing data, and create visualization dashboards using Spotfire/Power BI.
- Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries and SSIS packages to support new and evolving data integration projects.
- Assist the Decision Sciences team in analyzing extracted data using various analytics tools.
- Establish and implement ETL best practices for integrating new and evolving data sources used in reporting, transaction processing, and analytics.
- Conduct detailed data analysis to ensure strict adherence to data quality standards.
- Provide production support and participate in code deployments outside regular business hours as needed.
- Take end-to-end ownership of tasks, contributing across the analysis and development phases.
- Adhere to organizational work requirements and perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Client Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in SQL, ETL (SSIS), and Power BI for data management and visualization.
- Ability to understand existing SQL code, extract business logic, and develop source-to-target mapping documents.
- Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, email, and specialized business applications for data visualization and reporting.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze complex reports and documents.
- Experience with database concepts, including data modeling, data mapping, relational database structures, and writing complex SQL queries.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Over 1 year of experience as a Data Analyst with exposure to SSIS/ETL development.
- Over 1 year of experience in T-SQL coding with SQL Server 2005/2008/2012.
- Over 1 year of hands-on experience with visualization tools like Power BI.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel Macros and VB illustrations is an added advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience as an Azure developer working with platforms like Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL Database.
Additional Skills:
- Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and facilitate discussions within the team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships across teams and business areas.
- Strong planning and organizational skills to manage multiple assignments efficiently.
