Key Responsibilities:
- Develop application software for Gas Turbines and Steam Turbines used in mechanical drive (compressor) and generator drive applications.
- Interpret Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and implement control loops/schemes, including low-fidelity simulation development to test operative sequences.
- Develop and test Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and SCADA systems.
- Translate requirements and specifications into control logic and software, ensuring projects are delivered within timelines and meet high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure successful completion of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for unit control panels.
- Execute analysis, design, testing, and integration activities under the guidance of senior engineering resources to support assigned components, assemblies, or systems.
- Document and communicate results from technical data analysis and findings.
- Prepare and present technical data to internal stakeholders.
- Participate in teams addressing specific organizational initiatives and contribute to engineering discussions.
- Share engineering knowledge and encourage open dialogue within teams.
- Prepare invention disclosures to protect innovative technologies that provide a competitive business advantage.
- Ensure proper documentation of technical data for assigned projects, adhering to engineering policies and procedures.
- Work with cross-functional engineering teams to understand project requirements and ensure full compliance in project execution.
- Provide on-site support to ensure the successful commissioning of machines within agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) boundaries.
- Work with various control platforms such as GE Speedtronic (Mark Vie), Siemens, Triconex, Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc (RX3i, RX7i) and SCADA packages like Cimplicity and WinCC.
- Mentor junior team members on control software development and best practices.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (BE/BTech or ME/MTech) in Instrumentation & Controls, Electrical, or Electronics & Communication Engineering from a Tier 1 university.
- 0-1 year of experience in developing application software and control logic for gas turbine and steam turbine unit control systems.
- Knowledge or experience with one or more control systems, such as GE Speedtronic (Mark Vie), Siemens S7 Platform, Triconex, Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc (RX3i, RX7i), Woodward, or CCC.
- Knowledge or experience with one or more SCADA packages, including Cimplicity and WinCC.
- Understanding of gas turbine and steam turbine operations within the Oil & Gas domain.
- Experience in designing and implementing control logic and application software for rotating machinery applications in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Familiarity with national and international standards applicable to control systems for rotating machinery in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Exposure to acceptance test procedures (FAT/SAT) involving major Oil & Gas clients and EPC organizations.
- Experience with site commissioning procedures for gas and steam turbines, working with major Oil & Gas clients and EPC organizations.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and resolve challenges during project execution.
