Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute category team strategies for both short-term and long-term goals, with a focus on project management, strategic sourcing, procurement, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Leverage business growth, increasing volumes, and strong market presence to enhance the competitive advantage of the inbound supply chain.
- Lead ad-hoc team activities to ensure optimal value is achieved on all business expenditures.
- Oversee the performance of preferred suppliers within designated categories, collaborating with other functions to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and compliance standards.
- Prepare team performance reports, analyze variances, and work with partners to develop performance metrics, maintaining high personal standards and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Identify and implement value engineering projects to eliminate non-value-added costs and enhance efficiency in processes.
- Foster strong supplier engagement and build relationships with key suppliers to drive competitive advantages for the business.
- Lead specific improvement initiatives, such as process or capacity optimization, to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate across teams and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring customer-centric decision-making and aligning solutions to business needs.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Strong understanding of procurement transformation initiatives and spend optimization programs, such as Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB).
- Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree from a Tier-1 Business School preferred.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred skills:
- Working knowledge of contract law, contract management, strategic sourcing, supplier management, and value chain best practices.
- Experience in buying/hedging commodity materials and conducting e-RFI/RFQ or auction processes (preferred).
- Expertise in indirect sourcing and category management.
- Experience working in the Australian market (preferred).
- Proficiency in contract management using Ariba.
