Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize quantitative skills to provide decision-making support to business teams on critical initiatives.
- Assist in developing and enhancing spend metric predictive models that incorporate card member behaviors and detailed data granularity.
- Manage planning activities, including Risks & Opportunities (R&O), Long-Range Planning (LRP), and Annual Plan development for AXP Billed Business.
- Apply machine learning techniques to improve forecasting accuracy and generate valuable business insights, leveraging visualization and reporting tools.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and adopt advanced quantitative analytical approaches to address business challenges effectively.
- Provide thought leadership by delivering key findings and actionable recommendations to influence business strategies.
- Build and maintain trust-based relationships with stakeholders across the enterprise, including EFP&A, BU FP&A, LFO teams, and business partners.
- Support enterprise-wide forecasting for Billed Business through quantitative analysis, model ownership, and results evaluation.
- Independently propose and implement solutions to ad-hoc business problems, using data and insights to serve as strategic advisors.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
- Proficiency in SQL, Hive, Python, PySpark, and machine learning techniques.
- Highly motivated individual with a strong desire to tackle ambiguous projects and the ability to deconstruct and execute complex ideas.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Capability to independently solve ad hoc business problems while managing multiple priorities and adhering to deadlines.
- Strong desire and ability to learn new skills and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of card economics.
- Proficiency in Python or R is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools is highly desirable.
- Knowledge and experience in statistical and predictive modeling techniques are strongly preferred.
