Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis to support ratings, research, and analytical outreach, ensuring alignment with MIS standards.
  • Apply MIS standards to existing data to produce valuable inputs for ratings and research, including adjusted data, key indicators, ratios, charts, and graphs in accordance with MIS methodologies.
  • Perform data intake tasks such as scrubbing and validating data for use in research and ratings.
  • Review and interpret financial reports, official statements, and other documents related to issuer performance.
  • Collaborate with ratings and support analysts to understand data capture requirements, adjustments, and additional information needed for ratings and research.
  • Perform simple calculations and exercise judgment for specific data-related computations.
  • Gather data from various sources, including unstructured formats, update relevant databases, and resolve or escalate issues as necessary.
  • Complete deliverables such as newsletters, database maintenance, and complex or high-profile administrative tasks with oversight.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.

Preferred skills:

  • Up to 2 years of relevant experience in credit or financial data analysis and interpretation; experience in structured finance is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly intermediate-level Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills, along with effective interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in additional languages may be required for specific positions.

  • Basic understanding of how data aligns with methodologies.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret financial metrics reported by rated entities.

Stakeholder Management

  • Effectively interact with team members, direct managers, and a limited range of stakeholders.

Project Management

  • Develop working knowledge of more than one simple project or deliverable with appropriate guidance.
