Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of quality assurance and software development processes and methodologies, and effectively share this knowledge with peers and project team members.
  • Collaborate with developers, onsite project leads, and business analysts to understand technology solutions, business strategies, and their implications.
  • Execute test scenarios in support of the test team’s objectives.
  • Work independently on projects with minimal input from the test or development lead.
  • Familiarize oneself with the business functionality and technology stack of assigned applications under testing.
  • Collaborate closely with the onsite team to ensure the successful execution of test phases.
  • Provide regular test updates during daily stand-up calls.
  • Effectively identify and communicate risks from a QA team standpoint.
  • Work with the team to isolate conditions for reproducing identified bugs and verify fixed bugs.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality code with low defect rates into production.
  • Successfully execute testing tasks and promptly alert team leads or managers about obstacles, issues, and risks.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the movement of builds to the QA environment as directed by the Team Lead.
  • Implement and utilize testing tools and methodologies effectively within project timelines.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of defect and change management processes.
  • Discuss the status of open issues facing the test team and outline actions taken to mitigate such issues.
  • Prepare reports to communicate the outcomes and involvement in quality assurance activities.
  • Interact with onsite Systems Development (SD) Analysts and Project Managers in Canada to understand business needs.
  • Coordinate with India SD Offshore Managers and Test Leads to ensure process standardization and alignment with onsite SD counterparts.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of work experience in manual testing.
  • Strong commitment to delivering professional client service excellence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in team environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Technical Skills:

  • Solid understanding of web testing techniques.
  • 1+ years of experience in software quality testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) for bug tracking.
  • Working knowledge of software and web technologies, including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, .NET, SharePoint for Applications, AngularJS, SQL, and XML.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Project Planner, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle (STLC).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks.
  • Understanding of defect life cycle and the ability to perform defect root-cause analysis.
  • Proactively identify project risks and effectively communicate them to project teams.
  • 1+ years of experience working with SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, or ANSI SQL.
  • Understanding of enterprise-wide networks and software implementations.
  • Basic knowledge of at least one of the following technologies/tools: .NET, SharePoint, Siebel, ServiceNow, BI, PeopleSoft, or SuccessFactors.
  • Experience with continuous integration testing and familiarity with DevOps tools (nice to have).
  • Working experience with Selenium automation tools is a plus.
  • Ability to understand automation frameworks and support test executions.
  • Basic understanding of automation tools like Selenium (nice to have).
