Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the technical aspects of the Aladdin Wealth platform, including coding and configuring Aladdin Wealth’s optimization engine, developing custom asset classification schemas, modeling complex derivatives (e.g., Structured Notes), configuring Aladdin risk models, and managing large-scale data processes to ensure successful daily platform delivery.
- Design the technical architecture to integrate Aladdin Wealth into the client’s existing tech ecosystem by implementing APIs, Extracts, and User Interfaces.
- Consult with clients to understand their commercial business objectives and collaborate with them to implement our product in a way that aligns with their strategic priorities and transforms their business.
- Develop models and build the technical infrastructure to support complex wealth-native derivatives such as Structured Notes, Annuities, and Alternative products within the Aladdin Wealth platform.
- Work closely with the global Aladdin Wealth team to assist in client implementations on the Aladdin Wealth platform, including understanding client business requirements and working with them to implement solutions that help transform their business.
- Enhance the Aladdin Wealth Tech’s Funds Data and Analytics product by:
- Modeling and maintaining risk analytics and governance structures for funds within Aladdin.
- Leveraging Aladdin risk models and proprietary methodologies to generate risk for global funds.
- Streamlining and automating funds data services, analytics, and risk generation processes through production and engineering improvements.
- Develop expertise in BlackRock’s proprietary risk models and serve as a subject matter expert on risk analytics for products such as funds, equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternatives.
- Gain an understanding of the global wealth management landscape, key industry trends, and growth drivers, and consult with clients on leveraging Aladdin Wealth Optimization capabilities to maximize the growth potential of their Discretionary and Advisory platforms.
- Support technology initiatives within the team to expand the Aladdin Wealth Product offering and improve the scalability and efficiency of the platform.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Hold an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Engineering (BE/BTech), Statistics, Business Management, or an equivalent field.
- Have 1-3 years of industry experience.
- Possess knowledge of programming languages used for modeling and analytics configuration, including citizen developer languages like SQL, Python, R, and JavaScript, or object-oriented languages such as C++, Java, and Scala.
- A CFA/FRM certification is a plus.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills.
- Exhibit strong spoken and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to converse freely with clients and global counterparts.
- Have a deep interest in the finance domain and a willingness to learn about financial markets and risk management concepts.
- Deliver a high level of service through responsiveness, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Possess knowledge of financial instruments and portfolio analysis, including understanding at least one product type across Fixed Income (e.g., government and corporate bonds, funds), Equity (e.g., single-line equities, funds), and Alternative products (e.g., private equity, real estate).
- Have knowledge of derivatives such as equity and fixed income options, or more complex instruments like Structured Notes.
- Be familiar with statistical concepts, including linear and non-linear regression, or an understanding of statistical measures such as correlation, covariance, mean, t-statistics, max drawdown, etc.
- Understand portfolio risk concepts like volatility and Value-at-Risk (VaR).
- Possess knowledge of data analysis and visualization techniques.
- Be knowledgeable in simulation or optimization techniques.
- Demonstrate versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with changing priorities.
