Key Responsibilities for Analyst – Retail Analytics:
- Develop statistically derived predictive models for risk and credit scoring in retail banking and small business lending portfolios.
- Conduct decision tree-based customer segmentation and profiling analyses.
- Assist in the business implementation of advanced scoring models to enhance decision-making processes.
- Provide analytical support to Standard Chartered businesses globally, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Leverage expertise in statistics, applied mathematics, and SAS programming to perform risk analytics.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of retail banking and small business lending operations to drive effective risk model development.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Strong understanding of retail banking, small business, or consumer finance products and their business life cycles, including sales, underwriting, portfolio management, marketing, and collections.
- 0–2 years of experience in quantitative analysis and statistical modeling, particularly in credit risk, marketing, or portfolio strategy for retail banking, small business, or consumer finance portfolios.
- Proficient in statistical programming using SAS (preferred) or similar tools, with strong analytical skills and a solid grasp of quantitative and statistical analysis.
- Hands-on experience in data mining and analyzing data patterns to derive actionable insights.
- Demonstrated proficiency in scorecard development is an added advantage.
- Experience in direct interaction with business stakeholders and exposure to international markets is a plus.
