Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor application operational performance and reliability indicators, conducting basic analyses to identify root causes, notifying relevant teams, and driving resolution.
- Identify and publish essential metrics to ensure visibility into all aspects of application performance and stability from a global and customer perspective.
- Define Service Level Objectives (SLOs) tailored to specific services, products, and customer requirements.
- Build dashboards in Splunk and other monitoring tools, setting up alerts to continuously monitor identified metrics and SLOs, and report any violations.
- Provide and document Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production outages and maintenance, and implement automation solutions to improve or reduce downtime.
- Develop automation code for infrastructure needs, testing solutions, failover solutions, and failure mitigation processes.
- Respond proactively to alerts and incidents, ensuring alerts and dashboards are current and effective.
- Collaborate independently and within a team to triage production outages and maintenance issues, working towards timely remediation.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related Engineering field.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Linux/Windows fundamentals, shell scripting, hardware performance tuning, scalability, and handling networking/security issues.
- Experience with RDBMS (MSSQL, DB2), NoSQL databases, caching, queuing, and a working knowledge of firewalls and load balancers.
