Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Analysis and Software Design
- Understand product/software requirements and design solutions accordingly.
- Develop software by analyzing information needs, systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
- Investigate problem areas within the software development lifecycle.
- Facilitate root cause analysis of system issues and define problem statements.
- Identify improvements to enhance system performance and availability.
- Analyze client requirements and translate them into feasible designs.
- Collaborate with functional teams or systems analysts to thoroughly investigate software requirements.
- Communicate with project managers to gather information on software capabilities.
Software Development and Optimization
- Perform coding to ensure optimal development of software modules.
- Evaluate operational feasibility through analysis of requirements, problem definitions, and proposed software solutions.
- Develop and automate software validation processes by creating and executing test cases/scenarios.
- Modify software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, enhance performance, or upgrade interfaces.
- Analyze and recommend the installation of new systems or modifications to existing ones.
- Ensure that code is error-free and free from test failures.
- Prepare reports on programming project specifications, activities, and status.
- Adhere to project/program norms for code documentation with clear descriptions and replication patterns.
- Compile accurate and comprehensive documentation and reports as required.
- Coordinate daily with the team on project status, progress, and documentation.
- Provide feedback on usability and serviceability, tracing outcomes to quality risks and reporting to stakeholders.
Status Reporting and Customer Interaction
- Capture all client requirements and clarifications to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Obtain regular feedback to facilitate smooth and timely project delivery.
- Engage in continuing education and training to stay updated on best practices, new programming languages, and team collaboration.
- Consult with engineering staff to evaluate software-hardware interfaces and define specifications and performance requirements.
- Document solutions by developing flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, code comments, and clear code.
- Maintain formal documentation from client proposal to implementation for clear software understanding.
- Ensure quality customer interactions, including effective email communication, fault tracking, voice calls, and professional etiquette.
- Respond promptly to customer requests to prevent complaints, both internal and external.
