Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle for a large-scale system, focused on wireless solutions.
- Work as part of a large engineering team based in Bangalore, India, contributing to automation, testing, and networking efforts.
- Define, implement, and execute tests for wireless solutions running on network operating systems, including routers, switches, wireless controllers, and access points.
- Review design and functional specifications, offering networking insights from a customer experience perspective.
- Design and develop automation scripts using Python.
- Plan, design, operate, and enhance continuous integration and automated testing systems.
- Develop and write test strategies and test plans.
- Build and maintain network infrastructure for test execution.
- Test wireless features on both simulated and real hardware in typical customer environments, as well as in stress and scale scenarios.
- Collaborate with customers to conduct Early Field Trials.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Proficiency in writing software using Python and at least one other programming language.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and related protocols.
- Experience in troubleshooting, problem-solving, coding, testing, and debugging.
- Ability to analyze user requirements effectively.
- Experience working on projects that emphasize both testing and coding.
- Commitment to ensuring customer success is essential.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with real-time operating systems and Unix/Linux development tools.
- Knowledge of wireless networking technologies and 802.11 standards.
- Familiarity with programming languages like C or C++.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and multitask across distributed teams.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
