Key Responsibilities:
- Strong understanding of Big Data engineering, processing, Business Intelligence, and advanced analytics.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT design and processes.
- Proficiency in databases and data warehouse modeling.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data engineering and machine learning models.
- Experience in building APIs for application integration.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Establish procedures to determine necessary transformations for transferring both structured and unstructured data from source systems to new physical data models.
- Collaborate with data scientists to implement data cleaning and preparation strategies, develop data imputation algorithms, and optimize the performance of big data and machine learning systems.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Above average skills in Big Data engineering and processing using Google Cloud tech stack (BigQuery, Bigtable, Cloud Functions, Spark, Cloud Storage, etc.).
- Cloud Data Engineering knowledge on GCP, AWS, or Azure is a plus.
- Conceptual knowledge of ETL/ELT design and processes (experience with Apache Ni-Fi and Snowflake is a plus).
- Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures, including appropriate usage in common algorithms.
- Experience with cloud tools such as Object Store (GCS), Kubernetes (GKE), and databases (BigQuery).
- Solid understanding of SQL and databases (e.g., Oracle, MSSQL) and proficiency in SQL and NoSQL.
- Programming skills in Python or Java.
- Effective communicator with strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.
