Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret GDS policies, perform compliance checks/audits, determine required actions, and make recommendations based on firm guidance.
- Develop subject matter expertise on independence issues.
- Analyze individuals’ financial holdings and relationships to determine if they and EY are independent under relevant rules.
- Complete independence checks and conduct general research regarding potential new clients.
- Analyze issues and produce deliverables to document the diligence with which tasks were performed, ensuring work papers can withstand review and scrutiny by outside regulators. Interactions are typically at the executive level with client team members and GDS personnel.
- Understand clients’ business and requirements, service level agreements (SLAs) of the process, and quality parameters.
- Participate in project teams involved in regular client connections and drive exceptional client service.
- Work as a team player to foster teamwork and deliver high-quality outputs.
Skills and Attributes for Success:
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Good analytical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Strong domain knowledge of various financial market products and an understanding of financial terms.
- Demonstrate professionalism, industry competence, and clarity of communication when dealing with onshore teams.
- Comfortable working in an unstructured and complex environment requiring out-of-the-box thinking and logical reasoning.
- Ability to research and gather required information from various external and internal sources.
- Ability to learn and understand EY’s Risk Management policies, as well as familiarity with other Risk Management initiatives outside of the area of expertise.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Interest in working with a culturally diverse team from around the globe to design, develop, and deploy programs and share knowledge.
- Team player and active listener with the ability to respond to and develop the ideas of others.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Capability to work using your own initiative, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and interpretation skills with excellent attention to detail.
- University graduate or post-graduate with 0-1 year of relevant experience.
- Good academic background.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred skills:
- Ability to operate and adapt in an ambiguous and changing environment to respond to emerging priorities.
- Experience working to deadlines and delivering high-quality outputs.
- Ability and willingness to periodically work flexibly, such as participating in calls outside of standard office hours (early morning/late night) to support our global organization.
