Key Responsibilities for News Associate:
- Swiftly address client queries and escalations.
- Provide assistance with news planning.
- Help journalists with research work.
- Send out daily reports.
- Collaborate with third parties to source photographs and videos.
- Collect data on global election events.
Key Responsibilities for Trainee:
- Be comfortable with numbers to cut through corporate jargon and create top-notch readable stories.
- Write accurate, fast, and fair stories, ensuring all perspectives are covered.
- Use news judgment to differentiate between impactful news and PR speak, prioritizing content for an investment audience.
- Network and develop sources, including CEOs, PR representatives, and top broker analysts.
- Spot trends and write comprehensive feature or analysis stories.
- Rewrite headlines, news leads, and captions to suit audience requirements.
- Monitor international news wires, social media, and other outlets with strong interest and expertise.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in journalism or media studies (preferred but not mandatory).
Preferred skills:
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, covering 24/5 operations.
