Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable data solutions to facilitate real-time decision-making, reporting, data collection, and associated functions.
- Apply expertise in machine learning (ML) models to devise and deploy suitable solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Deliver high-quality, rigorously tested, secure, and sustainable code.
- Create and maintain software aimed at enhancing data governance and security measures.
- Identify and address data processing and storage issues promptly and effectively.
- Foster collaboration with team members to promote engineering enhancements and efficiencies.
- Develop and integrate code for products, services, or features, utilizing code reuse where applicable.
- Investigate and resolve issues impacting live site performance, contributing to both product development and designated responsibilities during live site rotations.
- Stay current with technological advancements by dedicating time and effort to continuous learning and skill development.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possession of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Over 1 year of practical experience in business analytics, software development, or data engineering roles.
- Proficiency in software development utilizing languages such as C#, JavaScript, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with various data storage systems, including relational databases (RDBMS), in-memory caches, or document databases.
- Proficient in both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, coupled with experience working in a continuous delivery environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, coupled with effective implementation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a keen interest in learning new technologies.
Preferred skills:
- Demonstrated track record in data engineering projects, characterized by a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
- Proficiency in ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, development of data pipelines, and/or Business Intelligence.
- Practical experience utilizing machine learning (ML), anomaly detection techniques, predictive analysis, and exploratory data analysis.
- Recognition of the significance of data, proficiency in data exploration, and appreciation of the advantages of fostering a data-driven organizational culture.
- Previous exposure to Business Intelligence practices or visualization tools such as Power BI is advantageous.
- Experience in implementing data systems using programming languages such as C#, Python, Scala, or similar technologies.
