Key Responsibilities:
- Develop software aimed at integrating data-driven intelligence into products that involve Big Data backends.
- Conduct exploratory analysis of data to devise efficient data structures and algorithms tailored to specific requirements.
- Implement advanced algorithm development within systems, which may or may not include machine learning models and pipelines.
- Manage data within large-scale data stores, including NoSQL databases, time series databases, and geospatial databases.
- Generate metrics and evaluate algorithms to enhance accuracy and recall rates.
- Ensure optimized data access and utilization through techniques such as indexing and clustering.
- Foster collaboration with engineering and product development teams.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, specializing in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related fields from a reputable institution, or possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics or Mathematics with practical experience in software development.
- Possess 0 to 1 year of experience in product development, demonstrating proficiency in algorithmic work.
Preferred skills:
- Exhibit an analytical mindset and adept problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and establish objectives aligned with business goals.
- Proficient in either JAVA or Python programming languages.
- Familiarity with data processing analytics and visualization tools in Python (such as pandas, matplotlib, Scipy, etc.) or JAVA (RapidMiner, JavaML, JSAT, etc.).
- Understanding of Databases, including proficiency in SQL.
- Familiarity with querying NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).
- Exposure to Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Yarn, Redshift, Spark, Kafka, etc., would be advantageous.
- Understanding of geospatial data stores, with knowledge of PostGIS considered a plus.
- Knowledge of Machine learning algorithms would be beneficial.
