Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain an efficient data pipeline architecture.
- Extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources utilizing Python and SQL.
- Enable user access to datasets through REST and Python APIs.
- Categorize, catalog, cleanse, and normalize datasets.
- Communicate effectively with business users and technology stakeholders.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
- Proficient in Python and data analysis libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy.
- Experienced in relational SQL database development.
- Command-line expertise in Unix/Linux environments.
- Possesses excellent listening and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrates self-starting and critical thinking abilities, taking ownership of projects and suggesting improvements for the entire infrastructure.
- Proactively addresses tasks, assertive, and pays attention to details.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Manages multiple projects with different priorities concurrently in a fast-paced setting.
- Exhibits excellent self-management and problem-solving skills.
Preferred skills:
- Proficient in object-oriented languages such as Java, C++, and others.
- Experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, RDS, Athena, Lambda, and more.
- Familiarity with relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management protocols like Kerberos, OAuth 2.0, and LDAP.
- Exposure to other technologies including Apache HTTP Server, Kafka, and Snowflake.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of fixed income, derivatives, futures, FX, or other financial services instruments.
