Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in addressing complex problems in medical image processing with ambiguity, delivering Proof of Concept (PoC) at a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) suitable for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.
- Actively collaborate with clinical scientists, AD leaders, and universities to spearhead advanced development projects related to medical image analytics, emphasizing a research and development (R&D) perspective.
- Provide support to NPI development efforts, specifically addressing time-sensitive and intricate Life Cycle Management (LCM) challenges related to image processing and Image Quality (IQ) using specialized expertise.
- Mentor and guide less experienced engineers within the team, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Exhibit a high degree of learning attitude to assimilate new knowledge in the realm of medical image pre- and/or post-processing.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Proficient in programming languages including Matlab, Python, R, and Java/C/C++.
- Familiarity with opensource medical image visualization and segmentation tools such as ITK and VTK.
- Expertise in medical image pre-processing techniques, including gain/offset correction, defect correction, EMI/EMC correction, grid correction, and calibration based on detector physics.
- Knowledge of overall Image Quality (IQ) analysis for diagnostic X-ray images is a plus.
Preferred skills:
- Proficient in Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and well-versed in other statistical modeling and classification approaches, including regression, Support Vector Machines (SVM), and Principal Component Analysis (PCA).
