Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance our analytics capabilities by developing faster and more reliable data pipelines and improving tools, managing petabytes of data daily.
- Brainstorm and create new platforms, as well as migrate existing ones to AWS, to make data accessible to cluster users with low latency and horizontal scalability.
- Modify our data platform, refactoring or redesigning as necessary, and troubleshoot issues across the entire technical stack.
- Design and implement a real-time events pipeline for data ingestion to support real-time dash-boarding.
- Develop complex and efficient functions to transform raw data sources into robust components of our data lake.
- Design and implement new components using various emerging technologies in AWS, and the Hadoop Eco System, ensuring successful project execution.
- Optimize and enhance existing features or data processes for improved performance and stability.
- Conduct peer design and code reviews, write unit tests, and support continuous integration.
- Prioritize quality and ensure minimal production downtimes.
- Mentor peers, share information and knowledge, and contribute to building a cohesive team.
- Monitor job performance, file system and disk-space management, cluster and database connectivity, log files, backup/security management, and troubleshoot various user issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, network, and database teams.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree
Preferred skills:
- Possess proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Demonstrate strong hands-on experience with Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, and Spark.
- Exhibit excellent programming and debugging skills in Java/Scala.
- Have experience working with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, etc.
- Preferably have experience with NoSQL databases like HBase and Cassandra.
- Bring experience with BI Tools such as AWS QuickSight, Dashboarding, and Metrics.
- Demonstrate hands-on programming experience with multithreaded applications.
- Ideally have experience in Database, SQL, and messaging queues like Kafka.
- Preferably have experience in developing streaming applications, e.g., Spark Streaming, Flink, Storm, etc.
- Ideally have experience with AWS and cloud technologies, including S3.
- Possess experience with caching architectures like Redis, Memcached, etc.
- Bring expertise in memory optimization and GC tuning.
- Have experience with profiling and performance optimizations.
- Exhibit experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
