Key Responsibilities for Data Scientist:
- Industry Knowledge: Possess fundamental knowledge of industry terminology, the competitive landscape, sub-verticals, and relevant best practices. This knowledge enables the provision of recommendations for specific functional processes and facilitates the understanding of industry standards to document current customer compliance and identify gaps.
- Document or guide the documentation of straightforward as-is customer processes.
- Grasp the context of customer requirements in specific engagements.
- Propose appropriate analytics algorithms based on the business situation, taking into account fundamental assumptions within the algorithms. Alternatively, collaborate with other data scientists as a team to comprehend suggested algorithms and provide quality assurance in algorithm selection from a business perspective.
- Ensure that our deliverables align with customer requirements, offering valuable business insights to avoid purely theoretical outputs.
- Engage in meaningful conversations with customers, explaining the rationale for the chosen approach and presenting the pros and cons.
- Responsibility for Successful Delivery: Take accountability for the effective delivery of Advanced Analytics solutions and services in client consulting environments. This includes experience in optimization (linear, mixed-integer, constraint programming), simulation, and/or predictive analytics using Advanced Analytics and Optimization (AAO) tools such as SAS, SPSS, R, and Python.
- Problem Definition and Solution: Define the key business problems that require resolution. Formulate mathematical approaches, gather relevant data, develop, analyze, draw conclusions, and present findings to the client.
Key Responsibilities for Business Analyst:
- As a valuable member of the Infosys consulting team, your primary role involves actively assisting the consulting team throughout various project phases, which encompass defining problems, estimating efforts, diagnosing issues, generating solutions, and designing and implementing solutions.
- Your tasks will include exploring alternative solutions to recommended ones through extensive research, which may involve literature surveys, public domain information, vendor evaluations, and the development of proof of concepts (POCs).
- You will be responsible for translating business needs into comprehensive requirement specifications, defining future processes, and creating detailed functional designs based on these requirements.
- Supporting the configuration of solution requirements on the relevant products is another key responsibility, which includes understanding issues, diagnosing root causes, seeking clarifications, and identifying and evaluating alternative solutions.
- Additionally, you will actively contribute to unit-level and organizational initiatives with the goal of delivering high-quality, value-adding solutions to customers.
