Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in communication with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers).
- Proficiency in extracting data from various databases (such as Excel, Access, SQL, and other data management systems) and conducting ad hoc reporting and analysis is advantageous.
- Develop or comprehend performance metrics to support business objectives.
- Define business and functional requirements for Amazon technology teams responsible for creating and enhancing software systems and tools used by TOC.
- Quickly grasp the business implications of trends and make data-driven decisions accordingly.
- Systematically escalate problems or discrepancies in information and data to relevant stakeholders and teams, ensuring resolutions are implemented.
- Adhere to varying time constraints to meet critical business demands, while also identifying and measuring performed activities.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to compile weekly findings and variances to goals into a narrative format, and effectively present them in review forums.
- Provide real-time customer support within a 24/7 operating environment.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Candidates should have 10-24 months of work experience.
- Strong communication skills are essential, as Trans Ops Specialists will facilitate the flow of information between external teams.
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups, is necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team within a dynamic environment is required.
Preferred skills:
- A background in logistics and training in lean/six sigma methodologies is advantageous. Proficiency in SQL is preferred.
