Key Responsibilities:
- As a Junior Data Analyst within the BCG X Delivery Business Modelling team, you’ll collaborate closely with consulting teams on a diverse array of advanced analytics topics.
- You’ll have the opportunity to apply analytical methodologies to deliver value to stakeholders by providing expertise in both analytical and technical subjects, as well as offering accelerated execution support.
- Your role will entail collaborating with various teams to gather requirements, specify designs, develop solutions, and deliver support for analytics solutions tailored to meet client needs.
- Furthermore, you’ll provide technical assistance by leveraging a comprehensive understanding of relevant data analytics solutions and processes to construct high-quality and efficient analytics solutions.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possession of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in analytical reasoning, adept problem-solving skills encompassing mathematical programming and data-related challenges, and a keen attention to detail.
- Capability to comprehend requirements effectively and suggest analytical solutions proactively.
- Demonstrating excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred skills:
- Providing original analysis and insights to case teams, often taking ownership of an analytics module or its components while collaborating closely with the case team.
- Building credibility through collaborative thought partnership with case teams on analytics matters, drawing conclusions on a variety of external and internal issues pertaining to your module.
- Effectively communicating analytical insights by synthesizing and presenting results in a sophisticated manner, including the creation of PowerPoint slides and charts for consultants. Additionally, gathering, synthesizing, and analyzing case team feedback and insights to inform the development of new best practices and methodologies.
- Developing a comprehensive expertise in at least one analytics topic or platform.
- Executing analytical approaches and delivering defined outcomes, while also contributing to the selection of the most appropriate approach.
Technical requirement:
- Proficiency in advanced Excel and VBA, with the ability to utilize these tools effectively.
- Familiarity with visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau, enabling the creation of impactful data visualizations.
- Working knowledge of Alteryx, enhancing capabilities in data preparation and analysis.
- Preferred experience with programming languages and tools, particularly Python or SQL, for data manipulation and analysis.
- Understanding of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, facilitating the efficient extraction, transformation, and loading of data for analysis and reporting.
