Key Responsibilities:
- Participate actively in the iterative design process alongside the team.
- Engage and synchronize efforts with our chapters and technology groups to align on practices and tools.
- Strategize and oversee the test management tool, providing education and support to engineers within the team, and executing tests.
- Continuously assess opportunities for test automation.
- Develop and maintain automatic test scripts, involving the entire team.
- Ensure the currency of our test documentation, including plans, strategies, processes, and tools.
- Provide support for the products developed during production hours.
- Foster collaboration within the team and with stakeholders on the business (Product) side.
- Share best practices and lessons learned.
- Assume responsibility for the quality of your deliveries.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree
Skills:
- Proficient in testing web products across the full flow, including front end, back end, and database.
- Strong familiarity with modern Test management tools, with particular emphasis on agile testing methodologies. At IKEA, experience with Zephyr is preferred, although proficiency in other tools is also valued.
- Skilled in developing and maintaining test strategies and plans.
- Capable of providing support and mentorship to others in testing practices.
- Competent in automatic testing, preferably with experience in tools such as Cypress for automatic testing and Load Runner, JMeter, and VuGen for load testing. Familiarity with these tools is advantageous, but adaptability to learning new tools is essential.
- Experience collaborating within agile software teams, with a focus on self-organization.
- Proficiency in various engineering practices, including design, development, and unit testing. A background in development is beneficial for creating scripts and understanding the development process.
- Familiarity with testing within a cloud environment.
- Tech-agnostic mindset, comfortable working with a variety of technologies.
- Ability to adapt and work effectively with different technologies.
