Key Responsibilities:
- Test and validate desktop applications and connected device ecosystems to ensure functionality, reliability, and quality.
- Review and analyze requirements, user stories, and design specifications to identify test scenarios, quality risks, and coverage gaps early in the development lifecycle.
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, test data, and test execution reports for functional and non-functional testing.
- Perform manual and automated testing of desktop applications using tools such as Ranorex, Python scripting, or equivalent automation frameworks.
- Execute integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing across distributed applications and connected devices.
- Identify, track, and manage defects throughout the SDLC/STLC while collaborating closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
- Develop, maintain, and integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms to support continuous testing.
- Validate application functionality, usability, reliability, performance, and security while ensuring compliance with established quality standards and best practices.
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to drive quality throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support release validation activities and ensure high-quality software delivery through effective test execution, reporting, and risk assessment.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in software testing with strong hands-on experience in test automation.
Required Skills:
- 3–5 years of experience in software testing with strong hands-on experience in test automation.
- Strong experience in testing desktop applications.
- Hands-on experience with Ranorex or similar test automation tools.
- Proficiency in Python, C#, or other programming and scripting languages.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile development methodologies.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and test automation best practices.
- ISTQB certification is preferred.
