Key Responsibilities:
- Develop extensible and maintainable code by applying coding patterns and best practices.
- Assist with debugging, testing, and identifying issues using logs, telemetry, and automated code analysis.
- Support the development and testing of design options while understanding system dependencies, performance, scalability, and security fundamentals.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and follow established coding standards.
- Use AI tools responsibly throughout the software development lifecycle and review AI-generated code changes.
- Support security best practices, including security testing, monitoring, code validation, and compliance activities.
- Collaborate with partner teams to support feature integration, end-to-end testing, and smooth deployment processes.
- Participate in on-call support to help resolve service degradation, downtime, and service interruptions.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Associate’s degree or apprenticeship in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, with at least 6 months of work or internship experience in coding using languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
- Ability to successfully complete the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, with proven coding experience in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
