Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software solutions developed for scientific research and laboratory applications.
- Develop and execute comprehensive software testing strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and ensure products meet defined quality standards.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and other relevant types of software testing.
- Test advanced software products supporting mass spectrometry instruments and laboratory automation systems.
- Identify, document, track, and validate software defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to investigate and resolve software issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and quality assurance practices.
- Ensure software products meet required quality, reliability, usability, and performance standards before release.
- Continuously enhance technical and testing skills while contributing to the organization’s mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, or a related field is required, along with 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- An ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, testing tools, and quality control processes is required.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, TestComplete, and JUnit is desirable.
- Strong expertise in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test protocols is required.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, and ALM is preferred.
- Good understanding of Agile and Scrum software development methodologies is required.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Ability to work effectively within a matrix organizational structure is essential.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git is preferred.
- Knowledge of performance testing and API testing methodologies is desirable.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams is required.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project requirements is essential.
- Previous experience with laboratory equipment testing is considered an added advantage.
