Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large volumes of data from diverse data sources.
- Create and optimize robust data models and architectures to support advanced analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives.
- Develop production-grade SQL and Python scripts for data transformation, pipeline automation, and seamless integration with upstream and downstream systems.
- Implement comprehensive data quality frameworks, including dbt tests, row count validation, null value assertions, and referential integrity checks, to ensure the accuracy and reliability of business metrics.
- Contribute to AI integration initiatives by designing data tables and pipeline structures that enable Large Language Model (LLM)-powered insight generation.
- Evaluate, implement, and leverage AI-native data tools, including Snowflake Cortex, dbt Copilot, and related technologies, to support the organization’s AI readiness strategy.
- Develop and manage data transformation workflows and pipeline orchestration using Snowflake and dbt to ensure scalable and reliable data processing.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to support data extraction, validation, testing, and reporting across Snowflake and Teradata environments.
- Develop Python-based automation solutions and AI-enabled data processing workflows to improve operational efficiency and support intelligent data initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possess 4+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering, with proven expertise in managing production-grade Snowflake environments, including query optimization, role-based access control (RBAC), and schema design.
- Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in SQL, including window functions, recursive Common Table Expressions (CTEs), complex multi-level aggregations, and query performance optimization in cloud-based data warehouse environments.
- Have intermediate-level proficiency in Python for developing data pipelines, automating ETL/ELT processes, and performing data manipulation using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, or equivalent frameworks.
- Demonstrate experience in designing scalable data architectures that support enterprise-level analytical reporting, including dimensional data modeling, object optimization, and parameter-driven configuration design.
Preferred Skills:
- Possess hands-on experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines using Snowflake and dbt.
- Demonstrate experience integrating AI-generated outputs into data pipelines, including processing Large Language Model (LLM) API responses, performing feature engineering for predictive analytics, and designing datasets that support AI-powered summary generation.
- Have working knowledge of Business Objects, Power BI, or similar business intelligence platforms, with the ability to troubleshoot data-layer issues affecting reporting and collaborate effectively with BI engineering teams.
- Possess experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or dbt Cloud, including managing workflow dependencies, scheduling jobs, and monitoring pipeline health.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Git-based development practices, including branch management, pull request workflows, and CI/CD processes for dbt projects or data pipeline codebases. Experience with data observability frameworks is an added advantage.
