Key Responsibilities:
- Assist development and operations teams in building, automating, and optimizing software delivery processes.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and efficient application deployments.
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance using observability and monitoring tools to ensure system reliability.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving issues across applications, platforms, and cloud environments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment processes, testing practices, automation, and operational workflows.
- Learn and apply cloud security, reliability, scalability, and incident response best practices.
- Develop and maintain scripts, tools, and automation solutions to enhance engineering productivity and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and system administrators to support production systems and services.
- Continuously enhance technical knowledge by learning emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in Cloud Computing, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
Eligibility Criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Be a recent graduate or an early-career professional with a strong interest in Cloud DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), infrastructure, or automation.
- Possess a foundational understanding of software development principles and operating system concepts.
- Demonstrate basic programming or scripting skills in one or more languages, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, Bash, or Shell scripting.
- Have hands-on familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems and command-line utilities.
- Possess a basic understanding of cloud computing concepts, including compute, storage, networking, and managed services.
- Have exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure through academic projects, internships, coursework, or self-learning.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automation, build pipelines, deployment, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Possess knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker; familiarity with Kubernetes is an added advantage.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Exhibit a strong willingness to learn, adapt, and thrive in a fast-paced technology environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Have experience with academic, internship, or personal projects related to Cloud Computing, DevOps, automation, or backend development.
- Possess exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using version control systems such as Git.
- Have a basic understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, load balancing, and firewalls.
- Possess exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK Stack, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of microservices architecture.
- Have an interest in cloud security, distributed systems, production operations, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and industry best practices.
