Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, analyze, and escalate SIEM alerts based on predefined correlation rules and security events.
- Perform email protection monitoring, malware analysis, and phishing email investigations.
- Support proactive content tuning and enablement of new security use cases within the SOC environment.
- Conduct threat hunting activities using network flow analysis, user behavior analytics, and threat intelligence.
- Raise and manage security incidents through appropriate incident management platforms and processes.
- Work with SIEM tools such as Azure Sentinel, RSA, Splunk, and LogRhythm for security monitoring and analysis.
- Utilize Python scripting, Windows Active Directory knowledge, and server/operating system expertise in security operations activities.
- Perform incident triage, assignment, and handling in accordance with SOC procedures and playbooks.
- Analyze and interpret HTTP, SMTP, and network logs under guidance to support incident investigations.
- Understand and adhere to existing SOC processes, standards, and operational procedures.
- Conduct quality assessments of SOC operations to ensure compliance with established processes and standards.
- Record and track process deviations, errors, and observations using tracking tools and spreadsheets.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to follow up and mitigate identified process deviations.
- Identify trends, patterns, and recurring issues in SOC operations and prepare summary reports.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for identified errors and recommend process improvement initiatives.
- Provide personnel-specific recommendations to enhance operational performance and service quality.
- Support quality assessment activities across multiple SOC verticals and operational functions.
- Align closely with SOC operations teams to ensure rapid detection and prevention of process deviations.
- Act as a quality assurance touchpoint during critical cyber security incidents to improve service quality.
- Assess investigation reports, including assertions, evidence, findings, and recommended corrective actions.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or any Graduate/Postgraduate discipline.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or related domains.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts as per business requirements.
- Certifications such as CSA (Certified SOC Analyst), CISM, CCSP, or Microsoft Azure certifications are an added advantage.
- Prior experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) environments will be preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Understanding of analytics concepts with the ability to generate trends, drill-down analysis, and graphical reports.
- Knowledge of Windows, Azure, and AWS infrastructure is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with Microsoft security tools such as Defender for Office, Defender for Identity, Sentinel, and related security solutions is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
