Accountabilities:
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of business areas, products, processes, and platforms to effectively assess and manage risk.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the bank and business units to enhance overall control effectiveness through comprehensive documentation of control assessments, procedures, and findings.
- Identify and investigate potential weaknesses within internal controls, ensuring continuous improvement and effective risk mitigation aligned with the bank’s control framework, prioritised based on severity.
- Develop and present reports highlighting key risk assessment findings, including control gaps and actionable recommendations for control owners, senior management, and relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of the bank’s internal control framework in alignment with established policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Ensure adherence to the Barclays Controls Framework by implementing appropriate methodologies for assessing controls.
Vice President Expectations:
- Contribute to or define strategic direction, drive requirements, and recommend improvements to enhance business performance.
- Plan and manage resources, budgets, and policies while maintaining and improving processes, and escalating any breaches in policies or procedures.
- Define roles and responsibilities (if managing a team), plan for future departmental needs, and support employee development, performance management, and compensation decisions.
- Lead and influence teams or specialists to achieve departmental objectives while balancing short-term priorities with long-term strategic goals, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Possess a Graduate or Postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with SAFe Agile practices and large-scale transformation program deliveries.
- Have working knowledge of at least one cloud programming language, along with familiarity with the Barclays EDP onboarding process and enterprise application development.
- Exhibit strong leadership capabilities, including the ability to lead teams, perform resource planning, and manage stakeholders effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of DevOps practices and experience working with GitLab.
- Have experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines and continuously identifying opportunities for automation and integration to improve application development processes.
- Show the ability to manage teams, plan resources, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
