Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable near real-time (NRT) streaming and batch data pipelines to support global transportation operations.
- Build and maintain data products and tools that streamline the end-to-end data lifecycle, including ingestion, processing, backfill, storage, data vending, and operational support modules.
- Collaborate closely with operations and analytics stakeholders to gather requirements, design effective solutions, and deliver high-quality datasets and data tools that enable timely and informed decision-making.
- Own and monitor data quality standards, implementing continuous enhancements to datasets to drive operational excellence and improve customer experience.
- Work with cross-functional teams to standardize analytics capabilities and develop AI-powered automation solutions.
- Utilize AWS cloud technologies to transform raw data into actionable insights and performance metrics.
- Promote continuous improvement by participating in code reviews, design discussions, operational best practices, and ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possess 1+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and transformation.
- Have practical experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- Exhibit working knowledge of at least one scripting language such as Python, KornShell, or Scala.
Preferred Skills:
- Have experience working with big data technologies including Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and EMR.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with AWS services such as Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Firehose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions.
