Accountabilities:

  • Investigate and analyse data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification, and document data sources, methodologies, and quality findings with recommendations for improvement.
  • Design and build data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques to large datasets to identify trends and correlations, develop validated logical data models, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations that drive operational and process improvements, leveraging machine learning and AI.
  • Translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations through data-driven analysis, identifying opportunities for operational and process improvements.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and visual reports using appropriate tools, and automate reporting processes to support regular and ad-hoc stakeholder requirements.

  • Consult on complex issues, providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated matters.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies and procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls related to the work performed.
  • Perform work that is closely connected to other areas, requiring an understanding of how different areas coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the organisation’s sub-function.
  • Collaborate with other functions to ensure business-aligned support areas remain up to date with business activities and strategy.
  • Conduct complex analysis of data from multiple internal and external sources, including procedures and practices in other areas, teams, or organisations, to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information, including sensitive or challenging content, in a clear and appropriate manner for diverse audiences.
  • Influence and persuade stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Experience in data and records governance, data controls, data lineage, and related methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with data products, cloud platforms, and data warehouses.
  • Exposure to business domains such as Retail or Banking, along with regulatory reporting experience.
  • Proven experience working in a regulated environment with a strong understanding of data and control risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and related data skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Good understanding of technologies used in the execution of data controls.
  • Ability to proactively drive change and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working in large, cross-functional teams delivering complex services with high standards of resilience, risk, and governance controls.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and insight generation to derive actionable insights from data.
  • Working knowledge of AWS (or any major cloud platform) and related components, along with Python, will be an added advantage.
