Key Responsibilities:
- Develop production-ready software that delivers meaningful impact to Stripe’s products and services.
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions to provide and receive constructive technical feedback.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Strong foundational understanding of computer science, demonstrated through the pursuit of a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Basic experience and familiarity with programming, gained through coursework or personal projects. Proficiency in languages such as Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Scala, or Go is advantageous.
- Prior experience from internships or collaborative projects, including open-source contributions, showcasing the ability to evaluate and incorporate feedback from mentors, peers, and stakeholders.
- Ability to learn and understand unfamiliar systems through independent research and collaboration with mentors and subject matter experts.
Preferred Skills:
- Completion of at least two years of university education or equivalent professional experience.
- Specialized expertise in one or more technical areas, complemented by broad general knowledge—for example, proficiency in frontend technologies and understanding how services handle HTTP requests.
- Experience in writing high-quality pull requests with comprehensive test coverage and the ability to deliver projects with minimal defects.
- Familiarity with navigating and managing work in complex codebases involving multiple programming languages.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to clearly document and explain work to stakeholders, team members, and collaborators.
