Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and own Layer-0 and Layer-1 applications (optical control path and data path) and related features, working closely with requirements and customer account teams with a strong customer focus.
- Understand, drive, and develop system-wide features, taking them from architecture and design through to delivery.
- Design end-to-end solutions for communication frameworks and data-path setups spanning both digital (packet) and optical (channel) domains.
- Adopt smart and modern technologies to ensure solutions remain efficient and aligned with the latest advancements.
- Take complete ownership of devising and implementing solutions, whether developed in-house or customized from third-party applications to meet customer needs.
- Engage directly with customers to address and resolve queries and live issues effectively.
- Ensure new features are delivered on time and with high quality by leveraging state-of-the-art continuous integration pipelines and fully automated test suites, following test-driven development (TDD) practices.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Strong programming skills in one or more of the following: C, C++, Shell scripting, or Golang.
- Preferably have experience in software development on embedded or Linux platforms; however, strong programming skills are the primary requirement.
- Ability to quickly learn software architecture and module design concepts.
- Capacity to analyze and connect complex legacy code while developing new features.
- Understanding of the following areas is valuable, as these skills are directly applicable to the role:
- L0 and L1 application software, including software system design, inter-process communication, OS threads, multi-threading, and related OS concepts.
- Embedded application software development with multi-threading support that can scale effectively with network expansion.
- Good knowledge of Docker and container technologies, with some hands-on experience.
- Experience with automated testing in a software development environment.
