Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in business requirements discussions with clients, onshore, or offshore teams, and gather clarifications to design test scenarios, cases, and scripts.
- Design clean, efficient, and well-documented performance test scenarios and scripts, ensuring adherence to industry and client standards, based on thorough business requirements analysis.
- Provision the necessary test data required for test execution.
- Perform automated test execution, log defects, track and triage defects through to closure, and document test results accurately.
- Create automated test result reports.
- Track and resolve any dependencies that may impact test activities.
- Report and escalate any risks or issues that may block or delay test activities.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Master’s degree (M.C.A./M.Sc in Computer Science) or equivalent qualification from an accredited university.
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in automation testing for web applications and API testing.
Required Skills:
- 1–3 years of experience using automation testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar, with practical expertise in creating and executing test scripts.
- Proficiency in coding with a language commonly used for automation, such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of test frameworks like TestNG or JUnit, with the ability to work with and maintain existing test suites.
- Knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, to understand the structure of web applications.
- Strong skills in test case design, including writing effective test cases, preparing test data, and creating test scenarios.
- Understanding of effective test data management, including creating, maintaining, and utilizing test data sets.
- Working knowledge of SQL to perform database testing and validate data.
- Ability to generate and interpret basic test reports and metrics from automated test executions.
- Understanding of API testing concepts and basic experience with tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working within agile or scrum teams.
- Hands-on experience with test case management tools like Jira or TestRail for executing and tracking test cases.
- Ability to troubleshoot simple issues independently and escalate more complex problems when needed.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills within the team and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies in the automation testing domain.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with additional test automation tools such as TOSCA, UFT, or UiPath.
- Relevant testing certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE.
- Cloud-related certifications such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
